DFSK E5 Plus Officially Launched in Bali
PT Sokonindo Automobile is expanding its electrified vehicle marketing to Bali through the regional launch of the DFSK E5 Plus. The plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) model was introduced to Balinese consumers during a regional launch event held at Living World Bali from 22 to 28 September 2026.
The DFSK E5 Plus is marketed at a price of Rp534 million on the road (OTR) in Bali. During the launch period, DFSK offered a promotional price of Rp494 million OTR for the first five buyers.
The E5 Plus is a PHEV SUV with a seven-passenger configuration. This model combines an electric powertrain with an internal combustion engine to support both daily commuting and long-distance travel.
Cing Hok Rifin, Director of Sales Center at PT Sokonindo Automobile, stated that Bali’s mobility characteristics were a key consideration for the company when marketing the E5 Plus on the Island of the Gods. “Bali has a different mobility character. As a destination with highly dynamic activities, vehicles in Bali are required to provide comfort for daily mobility as well as flexibility for inter-regional travel,” said Cing Hok.
Regarding the cabin, the E5 Plus features a captain seat configuration and provides ventilated seats in the first and second rows. DFSK has also equipped the car with Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) damping technology.
Entertainment features include a 15.6-inch rear screen and an audio system with 13 speakers. The infotainment system utilises the Snapdragon 8155 platform, equipped with the ‘Sera’ voice assistant in Indonesian.
For safety and driving assistance, the E5 Plus features 18 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) Level 2 features, including Adaptive Lane Change Assist (ALCA) and Automatic Parking Assist. The E5 Plus is also equipped with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality, allowing energy from the vehicle to power external electrical devices.
In terms of chassis, the E5 Plus uses independent suspension at both the front and rear. This system is paired with Frequency Selective Damping (F1) to adjust damping characteristics based on road conditions.
The expansion of the E5 Plus to Bali is part of DFSK’s strategy to broaden the marketing of electrified vehicles in Indonesia. Previously, the company introduced this model in several cities, including Palembang, Medan, and Bandung.
The marketing of the E5 Plus in Bali is supported by PT Bevos Auto Mandiri, a DFSK dealer partner that has collaborated with the company since 2019. This network covers both sales and after-sales services for consumers in the Bali region.
Hartono Kurniawan, Owner of PT Bevos Auto Mandiri, noted that the Balinese market is beginning to show interest in vehicles with electrification technology. “The E5 Plus arrives with a combination of PHEV efficiency for daily mobility, premium comfort, and flexibility for travel within Bali,” said Hartono.
In addition to expanding its marketing network, DFSK relies on its manufacturing facility in Cikande, Serang, Banten, to support vehicle production in Indonesia. The facility encompasses stamping, welding, painting, and assembly processes.
DFSK stated that the level of automation at the facility reaches 95 per cent for the stamping process and 90 per cent for the painting process. Every vehicle also undergoes End-of-Line (EOL) inspection and final checks before distribution.
With the regional launch in Bali, DFSK expands the marketing territory of the E5 Plus while increasing the options for PHEV vehicles available to consumers in Indonesia.
