Dexa Group Supports JKN and BPJS Health with Free Screenings, Finds High Risk of Non-Communicable Diseases
Dexa Group has recorded that more than 16,500 people across 22 locations in Indonesia have participated in the ‘Cek Kesehatan Segitiga Gratis’ (Free Segitiga Health Check), a free health screening programme organised by Dexa Medica through Dharma Dexa since 2024. The programme provides blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol checks, and integrates health education, doctor consultations, and physical activities as part of ongoing support for the government’s efforts to strengthen promotive and preventive health services. Corporate Supply Chain & Sustainability Director of Dexa Group, Anton Harjanto, stated that the free health check is an implementation of the company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitment, as well as a tangible contribution to supporting the transformation of health services that increasingly emphasise promotive and preventive aspects. ‘Cek Kesehatan Segitiga Gratis is one of the implementations of Dexa Group’s ESG commitment, particularly in improving public access to preventive health services,’ said Anton. He emphasised that Dexa Group is committed to providing quality medicines to support the National Health Insurance (JKN) programme and continues to strengthen promotive and preventive efforts through programmes that provide direct benefits to the community. ‘As a healthcare company, we are committed to providing quality medicines to support JKN or BPJS Kesehatan, and to contributing to building a healthy society through education and early detection of non-communicable diseases,’ Anton said. The programme’s implementation in the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) area, Jakarta, on Sunday (19/7), was attended by 1,486 participants. Screening results showed that around 52 percent of participants had at least one risk factor for non-communicable diseases (PTM). A total of 32.2 percent of participants were identified as having high cholesterol levels, 24.4 percent had high blood pressure, and 6.3 percent showed high blood sugar levels. Doctor Karinnia from Bhakti Mulia Hospital said the high number of risk factors found underscores the importance of early detection, as non-communicable diseases generally develop without symptoms in the early stages. ‘It should be noted that high cholesterol often causes no symptoms, so many people feel healthy when they actually have risk factors. Therefore, regular blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol checks are very important as an early detection step before complications arise. Programmes like the Free Segitiga Health Check are also very good for raising public awareness to have more regular health checks,’ said Dr. Karinnia.
