DEWA International Launched as Wholly Owned Independent Subsidiary to Develop Global Energy and Water Projects
His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, has announced the establishment of ‘DEWA International’, an independent subsidiary wholly owned by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA). The company aims to develop conventional and clean energy projects around the world and apply Dubai’s successful energy and water infrastructure model to global markets.
His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum said: “Thanks to the vision and direction of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Dubai has become a model for the world in terms of achievement and accelerated development. The launch of DEWA International marks a strategic step to expand this successful model to global markets and further strengthen Dubai’s position as a source of knowledge and expertise in energy, water, sustainability, and digital transformation.”

Al Tayer added that DEWA International will develop energy and water projects with advanced technologies in partnership with various leading global companies. Work is underway to identify opportunities, build a project portfolio, and establish strategic partnerships that will shape its global presence.
