Thousands of Muslims devoutly performed Eid al-Adha prayers for 1447 AH at Niti Mandala Field in Renon, Denpasar, Bali, this morning. Worshippers began gathering at Bajra Sandhi Monument as early as 5:30 AM WITA. The weather was partly cloudy, with Muslims continuing to arrive shortly before the prayers commenced. In addition to local residents, Muslims living away from home in Bali also attended the prayers, including Pandu Dwi Arga, a 26-year-old from Surabaya, East Java. Pandu said this year’s Eid al-Adha felt different due to being away from home. Normally, the 26-year-old would attend prayers with his family, but this time he came alone. ‘This is my first time praying alone. Usually, I go to the mosque with others,’ Pandu told reporters at Niti Mandala Field on Wednesday, 27 May 2026. Pandu also mentioned it was his first time celebrating Eid in Bali recently, and he had not yet returned home as he had only recently moved to the Island of the Gods. ‘This is a new experience praying at Renon Field. I didn’t expect so many people here,’ added the barista. The prayer was led by Ustaz Syobri as imam, with Ustaz Khairudin Utsman serving as the khatib. The Bali Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kanwil Kemenag Bali) announced 43 prayer locations across Bali’s regencies and cities. Eid prayers in Bali typically begin between 6:30 AM and 7:00 AM WITA.
