Devious Son's Plot to Kill Mother in South Tangerang, Faked report to neighbourhood head claiming victim in critical condition despite being dead

South Tangerang - A home that should be a sanctuary has instead become the scene of a tragic murder within a family in Pamulang, South Tangerang. A 64-year-old woman identified as K was found dead in her bedroom with suspicious wounds. Police subsequently revealed that the suspected perpetrator is her own biological son, I (36), who allegedly planned the act a week before the incident.

Police Chief Galuh Febri Saputra said the suspect allegedly killed his mother to inherit the family property. ‘The suspect allegedly committed severe assault on the victim with the intent to inherit the family property, which is the house occupied by both the victim and the suspect,’ Galuh said on Monday (25 May 2026).

Galuh added that the suspect had expressed his intentions to kill the victim to a friend days before the incident. On the night of the incident around 00:30 WIB, the victim was asleep when the suspect attacked her, causing her to fall out of bed. The suspect then continued the assault, using a clothes iron to repeatedly strike her head and body. The victim attempted to resist and call for help, but the suspect pressed her neck with his foot and a chair to subdue her. After she stopped moving, the suspect dragged her body back onto the bed and covered it with a blanket.
