Developing an integrated company
PT YKK Alumico Indonesia
PT YKK Alumico Indonesia's core business is the manufacture of
aluminum products, the main lines being aluminum profiles and
finished goods comprising aluminum doors, window frames and
curtain walls.
To operate its activities, it has a number of facilities that
support its production process. These facilities allow it to
produce, monthly: alloy casting 1,700 metric tons; extrusion by
two 1,800-ton machines 500 tons and two 2,200-ton machines 800
tons; anodizing 1,200 tons; and painting with powder coating,
fluorocarbon coating and fabrication and assembling. It also
plans to develop a new product suitable for the tropics called
Hi-Sash Residential building material for houses.
Its international market sales account for 75 percent of total
sales. The markets include Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia,
Taiwan, Vietnam and Brazil. The remaining 25 percent is sold
domestically, mainly to the construction and housing sectors.
The key to the company's success in maintaining and expanding
sales is its integrated manufacturing facilities and commitment
to high-quality products, to which the company applies the
standards of JIS H4100 (for extrusion), JIS H 8602 (for
anodizing), JIS A6604 (for car port), PSB 212 (HDB Singapore),
approved applicator for coating (PPG, DNT, Herberts) and ISO 9001
worldwide.
"By applying all these quality standards, we will always meet
international standards, offer the most competitive prices and
sustain our highly qualified human resources. All this will
ensure customer satisfaction and gain us entry into the free
market," said Drs. Soehardi, the company's general affairs and
administration manager.
Through the philosophy of "CYCLE OF GOODNESS", PT YKK Alumico
Indonesia moves and develops in line with its vision and always
seeks higher corporate value by pursuing innovative quality with
fairness in relation to customers, employees, society, products,
technology and management.
One impact of the economic crisis in Indonesia on exporters is
the loss of confidence in the rupiah and the problem of national
stability, which has led to the rejection of letters of credit
issued by Indonesian banks.
PT. YKK Alumico Indonesia is one of seven companies located in
Greater Jakarta that belong to the YKK Group, a subsidiary of
Japan's YKK Corporation. The company is confident about facing
the future and sees opportunities to be seized in both the
domestic and global markets.
