Developer's neglect
Developer's neglect
From Kompas
On behalf of the inhabitants of Pondok Timur Indah I am addressing this open letter to PT Kreasi Graha Raya (Raya Incorp group) as the developer of the Pondok Timur Indah I and II residences.
Residents complain of the neglect of the roads, drains, and public facilities. The residential complex has not been handed over to the Bekasi administration, so the company is still obliged to put the facilities in order.
The roads are in a bad condition, in particular the internal street network. Most of the asphalt has been eroded. The streets are muddy after the rains, and can hardly be used. The main street is somewhat better because it has recently been repaired, although in a cursory manner.
Drains serve little purpose because they are covered by earth. Rainwater remains on the street. A number of inhabitants have made partial repairs. The drainage network is still the obligation of the developer.
The state of the intended social and general facilities is also unclear. There is no prayer house nor sportsfield, only a tennis court. No playground is available.
We have often read about all of this in Kompas. One of the company directors and a manager once met us in an interview. We reported the existing situation to gain their attention. Apparently it had fallen on deaf ears.
The houses have all been sold, but there are no signs that the facilities have been tackled properly.
We request that the Bekasi administration does not accept the transfer of the complex of Pondok Timur Indah if it's continues to be inadequate. We also appeal to the Indonesian Real Estate Association (REI) to compel PT Kreasi Graha Raya to honor its promise.
