Jakarta, VIVA – The Real Estate Indonesia (REI) developers’ association has responded to the policy on the Financial Services Information System (SLIK) from the Financial Services Authority (OJK), stating that it favours the public.

REI General Chairman Joko Suranto revealed that low-income communities (MBR) will ultimately gain broader opportunities by utilising the SLIK policy.

“Today’s supportive policy from OJK is a policy that shows commitment to the people. It is something that strongly supports the lower classes,” he said in Jakarta on Monday, 13 April 2026.

Joko also expressed appreciation to OJK and the Ministry of Housing and Human Settlements (PKP) for supporting growth in the property sector, particularly for low-income earners in the end.

“We hope that what we are doing will continue, grow, and we support it. We are ready to cooperate with OJK with the support of the PKP Ministry and BP Tapera,” he said.

On the same occasion, the All-Indonesia Housing and Settlements Developers’ Association (Apersi) stated that today is a happy day for MBR. Because they are receiving special attention to obtain subsidised housing, and the SLIK issue has been resolved.

“We express our thanks to Mr. Minister of PKP and Mrs. Chair of the OJK Board of Commissioners for their attention to MBR, who have been constrained by the SLIK issue,” said Apersi General Chairman Junaidi Abdillah.

For information, the Ministry of Housing and Human Settlements (PKP) together with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) has decided that people with credit records in the Financial Services Information System (SLIK) of Rp1 million or less can now apply for subsidised housing credit.

Minister of Housing and Human Settlements (PKP) Maruarar Sirait (Ara) conveyed the good news for low-income communities or MBR. According to her, the decision is the result of a long struggle by the PKP Ministry through various meetings with OJK.

Meanwhile, OJK Board of Commissioners Chair Friderica Widyasari Dewi stated that OJK fully supports the government’s priority programme in building 3 million homes for Indonesian people.

The OJK Chair also announced several strategic policies to support the acceleration of the housing programme, besides displaying SLIK records only for credits of Rp1 million and above, also updating repayment data a maximum of H+3 after repayment is made, providing access to SLIK data to BP Tapera to speed up the housing financing process, and affirming subsidised housing credit as a government priority programme in terms of guarantees.
