Developer Files New Lawsuit Against Halt of Kelingking Beach Glass Lift Project
PT Indonesia Kaishi Tourism Property Investment Development Group has once again sued the Bali Governor’s Decree regarding the halt of the glass lift project at Kelingking Beach, Nusa Penida, Klungkung. This was revealed by the Head of the Legal Bureau of the Bali Regional Secretariat, Ngurah Satria.
Satria explained that the developer, PT Indonesia Kaishi Tourism Property Investment Development Group, had previously withdrawn its lawsuit due to incomplete administration.
“Regarding the withdrawal, we don’t see when it happened; the point is it was withdrawn. But there’s a new lawsuit again. They’ve already filed the new one. So after it was withdrawn, the first lawsuit’s legal standing was dismissed through the process,” said Satria on Wednesday (15/4/2026).
Satria mentioned that the lawsuit documents lacked the director’s signature from the company as legal standing. Consequently, the plaintiff requested time to complete the documents, but within a week, the first lawsuit was withdrawn.
“Then a new lawsuit was filed this week, entered yesterday or two days ago. It’s still in process meanwhile,” Satria added.
He stated that this second lawsuit is the same as the first regarding the glass lift project. Satria assured that the Bali Provincial Government is ready to undergo the trial process in accordance with applicable law.
“We are obliged to follow the court proceedings and provide evidence there when the public seeks justice,” he said.
Previously, Klungkung Regent I Made Satria responded calmly to the legal case of the glass lift construction at Kelingking Beach, Nusa Penida Subdistrict, which was sued by PT Indonesia Kaishi Tourism Property Investment Development Group to the State Administrative Court (PTUN). Satria entrusted the legal matter to the Bali Provincial Government.
“Regarding the legal process, it’s handled by the Bali provincial government. So until now, I myself don’t know how far the legal process has gone,” said Satria to detikBali on Friday (10/4/2026).
