Developer Day Seeks Talent in Technology Sector
The Indonesian Internet Domain Name Manager (Pandi) is again partnering with the Indonesian Information Technology Federation (FTII) and the Indonesian Telematics Software Association (ASPILUKI) to hold developerday.id 2026. This year’s event is the second edition of an initiative designed as a platform for Indonesian technology talent to meet communities, industry players, and potential investors.
The collaboration between the three organisations was strengthened through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement on 27 July 2026. Pandi Chairman Isnawan expressed hope that developerday.id can grow into one of the technology events capable of producing quality developers in Indonesia.
“We want to make developerday.id an iconic event and a reference for local developers, as well as a space that brings together developers with potential investors,” said Isnawan.
FTII Chairman Andi Budimansyah said developerday.id is expected not only to be a talent search event, but also to encourage the birth of innovations that benefit society.
“We hope developerday.id can find Indonesian talents who are able to deliver innovation for society and compete at the global level,” said Andi.
Meanwhile, ASPILUKI Chairman Irwin Day sees the growth of the application industry as an opportunity to strengthen the software developer ecosystem in the country. Investment in the application sector in 2025 is said to have reached around Rp54.18 trillion, with the number of developers in Indonesia estimated at two million people.
“The developerday.id event is a good step that needs to be continued sustainably to strengthen the quality and competitiveness of Indonesian developers,” he said.
The developerday.id 2026 series begins with registration running from 14 August to 14 October 2026. After that, participant proposals will undergo a selection process from 15 to 18 October.
A total of 18 best teams are scheduled to be announced on 24 October 2026. They will then take part in preparations leading up to the main developerday.id 2026 event on 10 November 2026.
Developerday.id 2026 is also directed at preparing Indonesian technology talent and products for the APICTA Award 2026, which is scheduled to take place on 7 December 2026.
Through the second edition, Pandi together with FTII and ASPILUKI are targeting the strengthening of the national digital innovation ecosystem. The event is also expected to open greater opportunities for Indonesian developers to improve competitiveness and bring local technology works to the global level.
