The government has ensured that electricity tariffs from 1 April 2026 will not undergo any changes. The applicable tariffs refer to the second quarter of 2026 period, namely April to June 2026, and remain the same for all customer groups. This decision was conveyed by the Acting Director General of Electricity at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Tri Winarno. He emphasised that the determination of electricity tariffs is made after considering various factors, including the current economic conditions. “This determination is carried out to safeguard the purchasing power of the public ahead of Eid al-Fitr, following calculations on various macroeconomic parameters,” he stated in an official remark. Under the regulation, electricity tariffs for non-subsidised customers are evaluated every three months. Adjustments are based on a number of macroeconomic indicators. Therefore, electricity tariffs are confirmed to remain in effect without changes until June 2026, for both subsidised and non-subsidised customers. Prepaid customers must purchase electricity tokens in advance, while postpaid customers pay after usage in the following month. 1. Non-Subsidised Household Electricity Tariffs 2.
