Details of Electricity Tariffs from 1 May 2026 for All PLN Customer Groups
Electricity tariffs for subsidised and non-subsidised customers during May 2026 have been set to remain the same. The current electricity costs still refer to the electricity power tariffs for Quarter II-2026.
Acting Director General of Electricity at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Tri Winarno, stated that the decision to maintain electricity tariffs has undergone a thorough evaluation of macroeconomic parameters in accordance with applicable regulations.
“The government has set electricity tariffs for Quarter II of 2026 to remain unchanged. This determination is made to safeguard the purchasing power of the public,” said Tri in an official statement on Monday (16/3/2026).
The adjustment of electricity costs for non-subsidised customers, or tariff adjustment, refers to Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Regulation No. 7 of 2024.
Although the formula indicates a potential change in tariffs, it has been decided that electricity tariffs will not change to maintain national economic stability amid global dynamics.
