Details of Cash and 74 kg of Gold Seized by Police in Three Corruption Cases
Police have searched 12 locations in connection with corruption cases involving coal, ASABRI, and Krakatau Steel across Jakarta and Bogor. The searches uncovered dozens of kilogrammes of gold bars and various foreign currencies.
“On this occasion, 12 crime scenes have been searched,” said Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police spokesperson Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto during a press conference at the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters, Jakarta, on Friday (10/7/2026).
From the searches at the 12 locations related to the three corruption cases, various foreign currencies and rupiah were discovered. In addition to the foreign currency, 74 kilogrammes of gold bars and family photographs were also seized.

“From the findings, 15 witnesses are currently being questioned. Investigators are therefore deepening the probe into criminal acts of corruption, whether bribery, gratification, or money laundering,” Budi added.
Presidential Attention
On the same occasion, Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto reiterated that handling this case is part of the commitment to support President Prabowo Subianto’s national priorities in strengthening the eradication of corruption.
“We are here to convey the progress of the investigation into suspected criminal acts of corruption, bribery, gratification, and/or money laundering,” said Senior Commissioner Budi.
He stated that handling this case is in line with the seventh aspiration in the government’s agenda, namely strengthening political, legal, and bureaucratic reform, as well as reinforcing the prevention and eradication of corruption.
“This corruption eradication effort is the President of the Republic of Indonesia’s focus in the seventh Asta Cita priority programme, which is strengthening political, legal, and bureaucratic reform, as well as reinforcing the prevention and eradication of corruption,” he said.
