Destry to Assume Bank Indonesia Governor Role; Perry Warjiyo Shares Message

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — Perry Warjiyo, the Governor of Bank Indonesia for the 2018-2026 period, has offered his congratulations following the ratification of the new Bank Indonesia Governor, Senior Deputy Governor, and Deputy Governors during the DPR Plenary Session on 1 September 2026.

“Congratulations to the election of Destry Damayanti as Governor of Bank Indonesia, Aida S. Budiman as Senior Deputy Governor, and Solikin M. Juhro as Deputy Governor, for the 2026-2031 period,” said Perry in a written statement on Tuesday (1/9/2026).

“I hope the new Board of Governors is able to strengthen Bank Indonesia’s mandate in maintaining stability and contributing to sustainable economic growth, amidst the ongoing global turbulence,” Perry explained.

Perry also expressed his gratitude to all parties who have assisted in carrying out duties at Bank Indonesia in accordance with the Law and applicable regulations.

“May Almighty God always bestow grace and protection upon Bank Indonesia in fulfilling its mandate for the advancement of the national economy,” he concluded.
