The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) continues to provide direct public services, including examinations of witnesses in handling suspected corruption cases, despite the work-from-home (WFH) policy every Friday.

“Today, witness examinations are still taking place,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters, as reported by ANTARA on Friday, 10 April 2026.

It is known that this Friday marks the first implementation of the national work culture transformation and energy-saving policy. The previous Friday, 3 April 2026, was a national holiday.

Furthermore, Budi explained that the KPK units providing direct services are public information services, the library, public complaints, and reports of state officials’ wealth and assets (LHKPN).

“Meanwhile, anti-corruption instructor certification services are conducted online, including gratuity reporting optimised online through the application https://gol.kpk.go.id,” he said.

In addition, he stated that the KPK is beginning to implement a combination work arrangement for employees within the KPK, namely working from home or from the office.

“The arrangement of the number and composition of employees working from home or from the office is carried out according to the needs of each work unit,” he explained.

Meanwhile, he said that in supporting the implementation of this combined work method, the KPK is optimising information technology and various digital platforms, including in disseminating information and public education.

“This is also a form of work culture transformation to ensure that the quality of performance and institutional services remains well maintained,” said Budi.

Previously, on 17 March 2026, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia stated that the government was studying several measures to reduce fuel consumption. One of the options was WFH.

Some time after that, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya announced that the government is implementing a national work culture transformation and energy-saving policy, starting 1 April 2026. One of the policies is national WFH for civil servants (ASN) every Friday.

The Minister of Home Affairs Muhammad Tito Karnavian then announced that he had issued a circular regulating the combination of WFH and working from the office for local government ASN.
