BEKASI, KOMPAS.com – Public services in Bekasi City continue to run normally despite the City Government (Pemkot) Bekasi implementing a work-from-home (WFH) policy for civil servants (ASN) every Wednesday. Head of the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency (DPMPTSP) of Bekasi City, Priadi Santoso, assured that services to the public are not disrupted. “So, in line with the circular from the Mayor, it mandates that public services continue to operate,” Priadi said when met by Kompas.com at the Bekasi Public Service Mall (MPP), Wednesday (1/4/2026). “Both are open today because the permitting services in Bekasi City are still needed by the public,” he added. Although the number of applicants is quite high, Priadi assured that there is no significant surge in queues. He assessed that this condition shows the service system remains under control even though some ASN are working from home. Of the total 217 ASN in DPMPTSP, only a small portion are directly on duty at the service locations. Meanwhile, the majority of other ASN carry out their tasks from home while still reporting work through the online system. “The rest are WFH at their respective residences but still report tasks through the available network,” he said. At the Bekasi City MPP, 26 service tenants continue to operate and serve the public. In addition, services from the banking sector and other institutions such as Bank bjb, PT Pos, Bank BNI, Bank BRI, Disnaker, BPJS Kesehatan, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, BPN, and Disdukcapil also remain open.
