Deregulation and small business

One of the important points contained in the government's June
27 economic package concerns measures to strengthen small
businesses and cooperatives. Without intending to go into details
on this matter, it is proper that we express our appreciation of
the government's measures.

Quite a number of measures have already been taken to
encourage small businesses, whether they are privately run
endeavors or cooperatives. Still, all the successes and
shortcomings considered, we believe that what the government has
done so far is still not enough.

The general perception prevailing is that our commitment to
encourage and strengthen small businesses, and also medium-scale
ones, has become one of the aspects of our development efforts at
present.
