Deputy TNI Commander Motivates Prospective Red and White Cooperative Managers

Deputy Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) General Tandyo Budi Revita has sought to motivate prospective managers of the Red and White Cooperative (Koperasi Merah Putih) to remain enthusiastic in carrying out their duties. The motivation was provided to participants of the State Defence Education and Training for the Red and White Village Cooperative and Red and White Fishermen’s Village programme at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base in Jakarta on Thursday (16/7). According to Tandyo, the main assets that prospective Red and White Cooperative managers must possess are a spirit of nationalism and strong mentality. ‘A good patriot, a good nationalist must dare to fall and rise. So when hit from all sides, do not retreat. This is a condition we must face together,’ Tandyo said in his briefing. Beyond being public servants, the Red and White Cooperative managers will also be the frontline in determining the success of this cooperative programme in growing the rural economy. He therefore hopes they can carry out their duties professionally to advance rural areas through cooperatives. Tandyo asked the cooperative managers to deliver their best performance at the Red and White Cooperative. ‘Congratulations on your work, foster a patriotic spirit to defend our national interests. Carry out your duties with full professionalism,’ Tandyo concluded.
