Deputy Chairman (Waka) of the Indonesian DPR, Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal, inspected the readiness of officials in managing the Eid al-Fitr 2026 homecoming traffic flow. This inspection aimed to ensure security and smooth services for travellers on the southern route. The journey began with a visit to the Integrated Post of Cileunyi Police Sector. As one of the main traffic flow convergence points (bottleneck) in West Java, Cucun checked the preparedness of police personnel and regional security coordination. “The importance of quick responses to potential congestion and security disruptions in vulnerable areas,” said Cucun in a written statement on Thursday (19/3/2026). This was stated by Cucun during inspections at several crucial points in Bandung Regency, West Java, on Wednesday (18/3). Next, he proceeded to the C1NTA Post (Cileunyi, Nagreg, Tasikmalaya). There, Cucun dialogued with cross-sectoral officials regarding the traffic engineering management implemented to reduce vehicle density heading east. The monitoring activities concluded with receiving a comprehensive briefing from the Bandung Regency Transportation Agency (Dishub). Dishub presented the latest data on vehicle volume statistics, congestion points, and public transport fleet readiness. “From today’s monitoring results, overall coordination between agencies is running very well; we in the DPR RI continue to monitor to ensure public facilities and safety aspects remain the top priority,” he stated. This inspection is expected to further strengthen synergy between the central and local governments, so that homecoming traffic services can run more optimally, well-organised, and provide a sense of security and comfort for all communities. “We also urge travellers not to overexert themselves; utilise the available posts to rest for collective safety,” he concluded.
