Deputy Speaker Cucun Inaugurates Liveable Housing in Cisalak, Bandung
Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal has inaugurated a liveable home in Kampung Cisalak, Mekarlaksana Village, Ciparay District, Bandung Regency, West Java. Cucun stated that the inauguration is part of a programme to renovate uninhabitable houses and represents his commitment to alleviating poverty and fulfilling the basic rights of the community. He added that the programme, conducted through the ‘Rumah Aspirasi Kang Cucun’ (Kang Cucun’s House of Aspirations), is a tangible demonstration of a representative’s direct presence to help every family build a more dignified life. ‘We at Rumah Aspirasi Kang Cucun are committed to ensuring that no citizen feels they are struggling alone amidst their limitations,’ he said. He therefore pledged to continue striving to ease the burden on the community. He explained that this step is taken to ensure underprivileged residents can live in decent and comfortable homes. The house in Kampung Cisalak was previously dilapidated and at risk of collapse. After receiving renovation assistance, it has now become a permanent building that is clean and safe for all family members.
