Deputy Regent Nurul Adha Claims Exclusion from West Lombok Development Projects
West Lombok Deputy Regent Nurul Adha has been questioned by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in connection with a case involving suspended West Lombok Regent Lalu Ahmad Zaini (LAZ). During the examination, Nurul Adha said he was not involved in development projects under the West Lombok Regency Government in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
“As for project matters, I do not know. I was indeed not involved,” Adha said at the NTB Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) office on Thursday (13/8/2026).
Nurul Adha was asked dozens of questions by KPK investigators. One of them concerned his working relationship with Lalu Ahmad Zaini and the Director of PT Air Minum Giri Menang (AMGM), Sudirman. In addition, KPK investigators also asked about Nurul Adha’s main duties and functions as Deputy Regent of West Lombok.
“It was about my duties and functions as deputy regent. Including, for example, the procurement of goods and services. Around the office, the pendopo,” he added.
detikBali has attempted to confirm with KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo regarding today’s examination of Nurul Adha. However, as of the publication of this report, Budi Prasetyo had not responded.
It is known that suspended West Lombok Regent Lalu Ahmad Zaini (LAZ) was caught in a sting operation at his official residence on 20 July. KPK investigators subsequently named three suspects: LAZ, President Director of PT AMGM Sudirman, and President Director of PT Meconel Sistim Instrument (PT MSI) Alvonsus Gani.
LAZ is suspected of receiving bribes related to a number of projects in West Lombok and of having conflicts of interest in the procurement of goods and services. He allegedly instructed the Head of the West Lombok Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing and Settlement Areas Agency, Lalu Ratnawi, to help Sudirman obtain government projects.
Sudirman then allegedly used CV Dyas Karya Konstruksi (DKK) as a project pool by borrowing the names of several companies so that CV DKK would not be recorded as the tender winner. The KPK suspects that tender requirements were arranged in such a way that companies used by Sudirman won projects worth Rp 17.9 billion through tenders and direct appointments.
The projects include the rehabilitation of Gerung City Park in 2025 worth Rp 2.3 billion and a second phase of rehabilitation in 2026 worth Rp 4.3 billion. Both projects make Giri Menang City Park one of the works included in the construction of the KPK case.
