Deputy Police Chief Inaugurates AH Bimo Suryono Again as General Chair of KBPP Polri
AH Bimo Suryono has been inaugurated and confirmed as General Chair of the Keluarga Besar Putra Putri (KBPP) Polri for a five-year term from 2026–2031.
Bimo was inaugurated and confirmed directly by Deputy National Police Chief Komjen Pol Dedi Prasetyo in Jakarta on Friday, 22 May. In his remarks, Bimo emphasised the organisation’s support for the legitimate government of President Prabowo Subianto.
“KBPP Polri follows what is commanded by Polri as our sponsor and parent organisation. We support the legitimate government,” Bimo stated on Saturday, 23 May.
KBPP Polri is a youth organisation that represents the children of both active and retired police personnel. The organisation was formally established in 2003 through Police Chief Telegram (TR) No. T/219/IX/2001.
Given its role as a sponsored organisation, Bimo stated that KBPP Polri does not recognise the term “police intervention.” Rather, the police serve as the organisation’s sponsor and founder.
“Polri does not intervene; rather, Polri is our sponsor. This organisation was founded by Polri, and senior Polri leadership has repeatedly stated that we are not merely partners but an integral part of Polri itself,” he said.
Bimo was confirmed based on Decision Letter No: Skep-02/Istimewa/Munas VI/KBPPPolri/V/2026, concerning the elected General Chair of KBPP Polri’s central leadership for the term 2026–2031.
Deputy National Police Chief Komjen Dedi Prasetyo stated that KBPP Polri is an organisation with strong ties to its parent organisation, the police force. He said Polri will intensify communication further with the organisation.
Moving forward, Dedi affirmed that Polri will assist KBPP Polri in compiling data on retired police families by deploying Bhabinkamtibmas personnel and other police resources throughout Indonesia.
“National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo’s message is that KBPP Polri is an organisation with very strong blood relations to its parent organisation, Polri. In the future, we will open up more intensive communication channels at both central and regional levels of leadership,” Dedi said.
