Deputy National Police Chief General Dedi Prasetyo met with several mudik (homecoming) travellers at Bakauheni Port in Lampung. He sought to ensure the travellers’ journeys proceeded smoothly.

According to detikcom’s monitoring on Tuesday (17 March 2026), General Dedi visited several areas of Bakauheni Port, including the passenger waiting area. There, he interacted with members of the public who were travelling home for the holidays.

“Where are you from?” asked Dedi.

“Pangandaran,” replied a resident.

General Dedi was then seen touring the port area. He inspected various sections of the port and the services serving mudik travellers.

“Is your journey going smoothly?” Dedi asked another traveller.

“Smoothly,” replied the resident.

In addition, General Dedi distributed several gift packages to children in the passenger waiting area. The children appeared enthusiastic in receiving the gifts.

After leaving Bakauheni Port, General Dedi then inspected a rest area located on the port toll road. He ensured the readiness of combined personnel to handle the mudik and return travel surge as well as the facilities available.
