Deputy National Police Chief General Dedi Prasetyo inspected Rest Area Km 57A on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road (Japek). The inspection was conducted to ensure smooth traffic flow during the 2026 Eid homecoming period.

At Rest Area Km 57A, General Dedi visited the unified command post of West Java Regional Police (Polda Jabar). General Dedi also listened to briefings from West Java Regional Police Chief Inspector General Rudi Setiawan and West Java Regional Traffic Police Director Senior Commissioner Raydian Kokrosono.

During the visit, General Dedi appreciated various innovations implemented by West Java Regional Police in securing the homecoming traffic this year. These include the ‘Motor Senyum’ programme, a mobile patrol initiative involving female police officers and female military personnel providing assistance and encouragement to homebound travellers at rest areas.

“This Motor Senyum programme is a noteworthy initiative that we haven’t yet seen in other regions,” General Dedi stated.

Additionally, the former National Police Public Relations Chief highlighted the presence of unified thematic posts and mosque prayer facilities (Posyan Masjid) that provide rest services, entertainment, and worship facilities for homebound travellers.

“We’ve also prepared breaking-fast packages, which greatly help the public recover their strength during their journey,” General Dedi noted.

He stated that such innovations are excellent for providing the best services to the public, in line with the Ketupat Operation’s motto of ‘Safe Journey, Happy Family’.

Following his remarks and briefing, General Dedi distributed basic necessities packages to combined personnel on duty in the area. Additionally, General Dedi interacted with homebound travellers, reminding drivers to drive carefully during their journey. General Dedi then distributed gift packages to travellers resting and refuelling at the location.

“Drive carefully on the road, and rest if you’re tired,” General Dedi told one traveller.

During the occasion, General Dedi also reminded the public not to rest on the toll road shoulder due to the high risk of accidents. He instructed officers to maintain security and conduct mitigation efforts around the location if rest areas reach capacity.
