Deputy National Police Chief Inspects Homecoming Route at Bakauheni Port Ahead of Eid
Deputy National Police Chief Komjen Dedi Prasetyo inspected the homecoming route at Bakauheni Port in Lampung. The port serves as a crossing access between Sumatra and Java and vice versa.
According to detikcom’s monitoring on Tuesday, 17 March 2026, Dedi conducted the inspection via aerial route. Upon arrival at the location, he immediately received briefings regarding the situation at the port.
The head of the Lampung Regional Police Traffic Department, Kombes Nicolas Dedy, provided the latest information to Dedi. This included details about the Siger Lampung application used to monitor the situation at the port and access routes leading to it.
“There are several features here that are clearly visible in this application, ranging from route division with four lanes. The first is the eastern cross route, then the middle cross route, then the western cross route, and this orange-coloured one is for the toll road location spanning 253 kilometres,” he explained.
Lampung Police has prepared three strategies. There are green, yellow, and red indicators used to determine how police personnel should respond.
“When there is a queue of 500 metres to 1 kilometre, it is a yellow situation, and when there is a 4-kilometre queue, it is a red situation. The operational procedure concept and strategies along with status and roles are all contained within the application,” he said.
