Deputy Minister of Population and Family Development distributes MBG 3B by motorcycle in Tanjungpinang
Tanjungpinang - Deputy Minister of Population and Family Development and Deputy Head of BKKBN, Ratu Ayu Isyana Bagoes Oka, rode a motorcycle to distribute free nutritious meals (MBG) in Tanjungpinang City, Kepulauan Riau Province. The MBG distribution targeted beneficiaries under the 3B scheme, namely pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and toddlers not enrolled in early childhood education. ‘Today, we have seen how the MBG 3B distribution is being implemented on the ground,’ Deputy Minister Isyana said after distributing meals to toddlers at Jalan Sidojadi, Kilometre IX, Tanjungpinang, on Tuesday. The MBG 3B initiative is part of President Prabowo Subianto’s commitment to improving human resource quality to achieve the Golden Indonesia 2045 target. ‘This effort begins in the first 1,000 days of life. Proper nutrition for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and toddlers is crucial for brain and physical development to prevent stunting,’ Isyana said. The Deputy Minister also stressed that the SPPG, which distributes MBG 3B, must continuously improve menu quality so beneficiaries fully benefit from the Asta Cita programme’s nutrition. She also reminded SPPG to always follow up on feedback from MBG 3B beneficiaries to ensure the programme’s service quality remains top-notch. ‘I fed MBG to a toddler just now, and they ate it eagerly,’ Isyana said. Meanwhile, toddler mother Rumita said her 1.8-year-old child, Hanafi, has been receiving MBG 3B from the government via the nearest SPPG for three months. She noted the programme has had a positive impact on her child, with Hanafi’s weight increasing by about five ounces. ‘The MBG is excellent. My child loves the menu, especially carrots and tempeh,’ Rumita said.
