Deputy Minister of PANRB States Hoegeng Awards Foster Exemplary Public Service

The Hoegeng Awards represent a strategic achievement in identifying police officers who work with intellect, physical effort, and conscience. They are selected individuals who stand as figures of integrity, stated the Deputy Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform, Purwadi Arianto.

According to Purwadi, appreciating high-performing officials is one of the efforts to build a positive work culture. The Hoegeng Awards serve as a form of recognition for members of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) who serve with integrity. He also expressed appreciation for the consistent annual organisation of the awards, which provides a platform for exemplary officers to receive recognition for their dedication and service.

Purwadi attended the Hoegeng Awards 2026 ceremony held in Jakarta on Friday. During the event, the Chief of the Indonesian National Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, urged all police members to uphold the exemplary values of the late General Hoegeng Iman Santoso.

“I ask all my members, wherever you may be, to keep that torch burning. Bring forth young Hoegengs, because the mandate given to this institution is a very noble one,” said Sigit. The leader of the Bhayangkara Corps also requested all personnel to safeguard the public trust and to be officers who are present to protect, nurture, and serve the community, ensuring they remain accepted and loved by the people.
