Deputy Minister of PANRB Pushes for Strengthening Inclusive Public Services in Kupang City
Kupang, NTT - Deputy Minister for State Apparatus Utilization and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Purwadi Arianto is pushing for the strengthening of inclusive public services in Kupang City through the development of service innovations that are already deemed good and need to be expanded to make them more easily accessible to the public.
“Various innovations implemented by the Kupang City Government demonstrate a real commitment to directly and quickly resolving community issues,” said the Deputy Minister during an inspection at the Kupang City Public Service Mall (MPP), NTT, on Tuesday.
He emphasised the importance of public services that are fast, easily accessible, and on target to meet public expectations.
According to him, public trust is built from sincerity in serving and the speed of response.
He also assessed various innovations by the Kupang City Government, such as integrated services at the MPP, door-to-door services during Car Free Day, mobile services, and the development of a Command Centre, which show improving ease of access to public services.
He also highlighted the Emergency Health Fund programme, which is seen as touching the needs of small communities, especially for residents facing administrative obstacles in emergency situations.
According to him, innovations like free wedding vehicles also have a strong social impact because they directly reach underprivileged communities.
He also reminded government apparatus that positions are a trust that must be carried out with real work.
“The public comes with problems, so the government must be present to provide solutions,” he stressed.
On that occasion, Kupang Mayor Dr Christian Widodo also conveyed several public service innovations being implemented, both inside and outside the MPP, such as mobile MPP during Car Free Day, the Saboak UMKM centre, the Sodamolek 2.0 application for inflation monitoring, and the Command Centre as an integrated complaint centre.
“The Kupang City Government also allocates Rp3 billion per year in Emergency Health Funds for underprivileged communities without active BPJS,” he said.
In addition, a programme for equitable development based on sub-districts worth Rp500 million per sub-district is being implemented.
In the environmental sector, the Kupang City Government has prepared a waste management roadmap through regulated waste collection and transport hours and the construction of Integrated Waste Processing Sites (TPST) in six sub-districts.
