Deputy Minister of PANRB and Deputy Minister of Transportation Inspect Peak Eid Exodus at Tanjung Priok
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Deputy Minister for State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (WamenPANRB) Purwadi Arianto and Deputy Minister of Transportation Suntana inspected the peak of the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah homecoming exodus at Tanjung Priok Port, North Jakarta. “This visit aims to ensure that transportation facilities, as a public service, operate well in accordance with President Prabowo Subianto’s directives,” said Deputy Minister for State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform Purwadi Arianto in Jakarta on Wednesday. His side also sought to confirm that Eid services are integrated, data-based, and under government control in this homecoming service. According to him, this starts from how field officers can provide fast services and resolve existing issues. He assessed that this impacts better and prime public service quality as felt at Tanjung Priok Port. “Services at Tanjung Priok Port are quite complex, and we hope officers are more mature, adaptive, and innovative in providing services,” he said. Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Transportation Suntana stated that last year the government discount was at 20 percent, and this year it has increased to 30 percent for sea, air, ferry, toll, and train transport. He hopes that next year ticket discounts or price cuts can be increased further to facilitate the public. “We ensure the safety of homecoming transport runs well and the public arrives at their destinations safely,” he said. “If bringing children on the journey, do not let them be left behind,” he added. Meanwhile, President Director of PT Pelni Tri Andayani said that in facing the homecoming flow, his side continues to improve service quality for customers, including through digital transformation oriented towards ease of access and passenger comfort. “We thank the visit of WamenPANRB and Wamenhub to KM Labobar today,” he said. He stated that this visit is an opportunity to show Pelni’s commitment in providing increasingly better and accessible services.
