Deputy Minister of MSMEs Commits to Strengthening Support for Local Entrepreneurs
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Deputy Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (Wamen UMKM) Helvi Moraza stated that the government is committed to strengthening its support for local entrepreneurs. “The government continues to commit to strengthening support for local entrepreneurs through policies such as the campaign to increase the use of domestic products (P3DN), optimisation of local content levels (TKDN), of course with restrictions on imported products,” she said during the Socialisation and Press Conference for INABUYER B2B2G (Business-to-Business-to-Government) EXPO 2026 in Jakarta on Wednesday. On that occasion, the Ministry of MSMEs, together with the Government Goods/Services Procurement Policy Agency (LKPP), the Indonesian Retailers and Shopping Centre Tenants Association (Hippindo), and SMESCO Indonesia, will organise the Inabuyer B2B2G Expo 2026 on 5-7 May 2026 at the SMESCO Indonesia Building, Jakarta. The Deputy Minister emphasised the government’s commitment to expanding MSME entrepreneurs’ access to the government goods and services procurement ecosystem, the supply chains of state-owned enterprises (BUMN), and partnerships with large businesses. This step is aimed at broadening market reach, improving product quality, and strengthening business competitiveness and capacity. The organisation of the Inabuyer B2B2G Expo 2026 is seen as a strategic momentum to revive the domestic product market, while strengthening cross-sector partnerships between the government, large businesses, and SOEs/regional SOEs. Such collaboration is expected to strengthen the national supply chain, increase the use of local products, and promote economic equity and national competitiveness. She also reported that the INABUYER EXPO last year recorded potential cooperation worth Rp2.19 trillion, exceeding the initial target and rising significantly by 38.68% compared to the 2024 achievement. The total number of visitors was 6,298, comprising 1,659 buyers from the private sector and SOEs, 2,787 suppliers, and 1,852 others. “The INABUYER B2B2G programme is one of the infrastructures that we consider very good and consistent because it can carry out this event up to this moment,” she stated.
