Deputy Minister of Manpower to Investigate Case of Unpaid Wages and THR for PT Hilcon Workers

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Deputy Minister of Manpower (Wamenaker) Afriansyah Noor stated that he will soon send a team to investigate allegations of unpaid wages and Eid al-Fitr bonuses (THR) for workers at PT Hillcon Jaya Shakti, which operates in the North Morowali area.

“Regarding this information, we will send an investigation to this company,” Afriansyah said when contacted by ANTARA in Jakarta on Friday.

He conveyed this in response to ANTARA’s confirmation about hundreds of workers at PT Hillcon Jaya Shakti on the PT Keinz Ventura site in North Morowali who have not received their wage rights since February, including the 2026 Eid THR.

On this matter, Afriansyah said his side would first delve into the information by conducting verification through the Ministry of Manpower’s internal team.

“We will investigate first what is becoming the information for us here. I will confirm with my team regarding this company,” the Deputy Minister stated.

He also emphasised that companies’ obligations to workers, such as wage payments, THR, and BPJS Manpower contributions, must be fulfilled immediately.

The government is asking the company to promptly settle all overdue obligations as a form of responsibility towards the workers who have contributed thus far.
