Deputy Minister of Manpower Supports Commitment and Synergy Between Pegadaian Management and Labour Union to 'Golden Indonesia'

Deputy Minister of Manpower (Wamenaker) Afriansyah Noor has expressed appreciation for the solidarity between the Serikat Pekerja PT Pegadaian (SP Pegadaian) and the company’s management. He assessed that this collaboration deserves to be emulated by labour unions in other State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN). “My hope is that in the future, other BUMN will follow the example of the union at Pegadaian. With this gathering event, the presence of company management, the Network Director, and divisional ranks who provide support, the togetherness between the labour union and management is extraordinary,” Afriansyah said in a statement on Sunday. He emphasised that currently, there is no visible gap between the union and management. “This needs to be brought to life in other state-owned and private companies. This is an extraordinary collaborative hope,” he stated. President Director of PT Pegadaian, Damar Latri Setiawan, said the company’s performance up to the first half of 2026 has grown well. According to him, this achievement is inseparable from the role of the workers. “This good performance is supported by extraordinary workers. Why do the workers support us? Of course, because the management’s cooperative attitude has become an extraordinary collaboration,” Damar said. He stressed that the goals of management and the union are always aligned. He noted that familiarity through events like this is important for maintaining harmonious industrial relations. “This is what makes Pegadaian well-known for its industry excellence. So today we are holding a kind of thanksgiving, a gathering to strengthen ties and familiarity. Because through this familiarity, good human relations will continue to be fostered,” he said. Meanwhile, General Chairperson of SP Pegadaian, Mufri Yandi, stated that this joint fishing event is a tangible manifestation of the Collective Labour Agreement (PKB) between the company and the workers. “The hope, as directed, is that the synergy from the tripartite partnership of the government, management, and the union will become even more solid going forward,” Mufri said.
