Jakarta — Deputy Minister of Immigration and Corrections Silmy Karim stated that the Clean and Responsive Bureaucracy (Wilayah Birokrasi Bersih dan Melayani, WBBM) designation represents the highest status within the integrity zone.

The statement was made by Silmy following five immigration offices receiving the WBBM designation from the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB).

“The WBBM designation is the highest status within the integrity zone. I appreciate the hard work of colleagues in the regions who have demonstrated that our bureaucracy is capable of working honestly and efficiently,” Silmy said.

The five immigration offices that earned the WBBM designation are: Singaraja Immigration Office, Wonosobo Immigration Office, Parepare Immigration Office, Kotamobagu Immigration Office, and Tobelo Immigration Office.

For Silmy, the designation indicates that these work units have progressed significantly. Beyond being free from corruption practices, they have successfully implemented significant public service innovations, such as reducing waiting times and simplifying service requirements for public convenience.

“This is important capital for enhancing public trust in immigration institutions,” he stated.

The designation was presented at the Government Agency Performance Accountability System (SAKIP) and Integrity Zone Awards 2026 in Jakarta on Wednesday, 11 February.

According to data from the PANRB Ministry, in 2025 there were 297 government institutions participating in the Integrity Zone evaluation. Of these, 133 institutions qualified for the Corruption-Free Zone (WBK) and/or WBBM designation.

Silmy explained that seven work units at the Immigration and Corrections Ministry earned the Integrity Zone designation, making it one of the institutions with the highest number of awards.

Additionally, this year’s SAKIP evaluation recorded an average score for ministries/agencies of 73.61, provincial governments at 69.05, and district/city governments at 64.89.
