Bandung — The Deputy Minister for Energy and Mineral Resources (Wamen ESDM) Yuliot Tanjung has assured the public that the supply of petroleum fuel is secure and national stock resilience reaches up to 28 days, thereby providing sufficient supply to meet the demands of the 2026 Eid holiday travel season.

“Nationally, fuel supply is well above the minimum threshold. The average national stock resilience stands at around 27 to 28 days, whilst the minimum reserve set out in regulations is approximately 21 days,” Yuliot said in Bandung on Monday.

Regarding President Prabowo Subianto’s directive on energy efficiency, the government will undertake various evaluation measures on energy use, including the use of fuel for power generation and the utilisation of gas.

Additionally, evaluations will be conducted on the operational side across various sectors to enhance energy efficiency.

Yuliot stated that the government will also pay attention to energy services on major travel routes, both through motorways and primary access routes to traveller destinations and tourist areas.

“Anticipatory measures include preparing fuel tanks in certain areas as well as additional services such as petrol stations and other mobile services prepared by Pertamina,” he said.

Meanwhile, Pertamina Patra Niaga Deputy Director Taufik Aditiyawarman said the company ensures the availability of fuel and liquefied petroleum gas in accordance with the national minimum stock provisions set by the government.

He explained that to anticipate energy needs during Ramadan and Eid, Pertamina has activated a task force since 9 March 2026 and is coordinating with various parties, including the police and the national command post of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

According to him, coordination is also being undertaken among fuel distribution terminals to ensure supply can provide mutual support should shortages occur in any region.

“In any circumstances we will respond to ensure fuel availability to the public remains maintained. We are also preparing additional services such as petrol stations, modular units, and fuel tankers,” said Taufik.
