Deputy Minister: Cross-Sector Collaboration Drives Economic Growth
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Deputy Minister for Creative Economy/Wakil Badan Ekonomi Kreatif (Ekraf), Irene Umar, stated that integration and cross-sector collaboration between the entertainment ecosystem and digital financial services can serve as a driver for national economic growth.
“This synergy demonstrates how digital innovation can broaden market access, enhance audience experience, and create new economic opportunities for creative industry players, including musicians and supporting businesses,” Umar said in a statement received by ANTARA on Monday.
She noted that this cross-sector collaboration aligns with the Ministry of Creative Economy’s mission to strengthen the commercial infrastructure of the music industry and expand market access for creative economy champions to drive national economic growth.
According to her, large-scale music festivals contribute to the creation of economic added value, employment absorption, and the strengthening of the creative industry’s value chain.
The integration of the music performance industry, digital technology, and financial services is expected to expand business opportunities, increase economic added value, and support the creative economy as one of the nation’s new engines of growth.
She also expressed appreciation for the Allo Bank Festival 2026 held last Saturday, which demonstrated the potential of cross-sector collaboration in strengthening the creative economy ecosystem.
“We want to ensure that the growth of the commercial music festival industry is accompanied by protection and fair economic value for all artists involved. This major festival should become a new standard in terms of stage management, promotion, and the sustainable downstream development of music products,” she added.
The Allo Bank Festival is an annual all-in-one concept music festival first held in 2022. The event combines music concerts, a culinary area, and various interactive activities, making it one of the largest commercial music festivals in Indonesia. The festival features musicians across genres and market segments, ranging from pop and dangdut to global K-pop. It successfully drew high enthusiasm with the attendance of approximately 15,000 visitors and involved 15 MSME outlets.
