Deputy Minister Conveys Prabowo's Message to New Students at Semarang's 'Sekolah Rakyat'

Deputy Minister of Social Affairs Agus Jabo Priyono conveyed a special message from President Prabowo Subianto to hundreds of new students at the Sekolah Rakyat (People’s School) in Semarang. The President urged the students to have strong self-confidence and to be smart, stating that these qualities are essential capital for self-development and breaking the chain of poverty. He emphasized that Indonesian children must not feel inferior to those from other nations.

Beyond intelligence, the students are expected to build character and a strong sense of nationalism. The school’s curriculum integrates discipline, tolerance, and social care, providing a solid foundation for the children. Agus Jabo noted that the President wants the school to be a place where students not only gain knowledge but also find a second home filled with warmth and care.

During the dialogue, Agus Jabo assured the students that the government would support their future after graduation. President Prabowo has instructed the Ministry of Social Affairs to facilitate higher education for those who wish to continue studying and to help secure employment, both domestically and internationally, for those who want to work. The 262 students, currently undergoing orientation, expressed happiness and gratitude for the opportunity to study without burdening their families.
