Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sudaryono has emphasised that the government’s budget is being maximised to improve farmer welfare and achieve sustainable food self-sufficiency. He stated that the most important aspect is ensuring the budget truly benefits farmers, increases food production, and strengthens food security.

Speaking during a working meeting with House of Representatives (DPR) Commission IV in Jakarta, the Deputy Minister highlighted the Ministry’s 2025 financial report, which showed revenue realisation reached IDR 501 billion, a 43.79% increase compared to the previous year. The increase was primarily driven by sales of Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) vaccines and the recovery of prior-year expenditures.

The Ministry’s financial position also strengthened, with total assets recorded at IDR 86.16 trillion as of 31 December 2025. The Deputy Minister noted that this achievement demonstrates the Ministry’s commitment to building clean, transparent, and results-oriented governance.

He further stated that the successful retention of an Unqualified Opinion (Wajar Tanpa Pengecualian/WTP) from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) for its financial reports reflects the Ministry’s commitment to optimising the use of the state budget. Commission IV member Muhammad Habibur Rochman praised the Ministry’s performance, noting that the 43.79% increase in revenue and the WTP status are commendable achievements.
