Deputy Minister ATR/BPN Highlights Land Governance Issues in Batam as a Special Region

Deputy Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Ossy Dermawan has highlighted land governance issues in Batam City, Riau Islands, due to its status as a special region. The matter was raised during a working visit with Commission II of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) to the city on Wednesday (8/7). During the activity, the ministry conducted problem identification to resolve potential land dispute conflicts, considering Batam’s specificity regarding Other Use Areas (APL) managed by the Batam Concession Agency (BP Batam).
