Deputy Minister Appreciates Republika's Sharia Awards, Hopes for Consistent Promotion of Sharia Economy Ecosystem

Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah (Wamenhaj) Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak has expressed his appreciation for the Anugerah Syariah Republika (ASR) 2026, an awards event honouring key players in the sharia economy. He voiced his hope that Republika would consistently hold the event as a media outlet serving the community.

“I appreciate the commitment of Republika and its Group regarding the sharia economy. These days, Republika consistently oversees sharia economic practices and builds a sharia economic tradition,” Dahnil said while attending the Anugerah Syariah Republika 2026 at the Energy Building, Jakarta, on Wednesday (1/7/2026).

Dahnil expressed his hope that Republika would not stop voicing developments in the sharia economic and financial industry, including consistently giving appreciation to sharia economy drivers. This is so that the halal ecosystem becomes more solid and grows stronger.

“I hope Republika can continue to provide enlightenment on sharia economic practices and give appreciation to sharia economic entities. Not just stopping as symbolic entities, but also becoming a mainstream practice in the Indonesian economy,” he hoped.

He also touched on the need for Republika to help promote the hajj and umrah ecosystem in Indonesia.

“Including matters related to the hajj and umrah economic ecosystem, which is identical to sharia economic practices. And Republika and its Group is one of the media with a high commitment to this,” he stressed.

Republika is once again holding the Anugerah Syariah Republika (ASR) 2026 as a form of appreciation for industry players, institutions, and figures deemed successful in driving the growth of the national sharia economy.

Carrying the theme “Sharia for All: Beyond Profit, Toward Purpose”, this year’s awards event emphasises that the sharia economy is not only oriented towards business growth but also brings broader benefits to society.
