Deputy Mayor Wawan Opens Jogja Financial Festival 2026 on Day Two
The Deputy Mayor of Jogja, Wawan Harmawan, opened the Jogja Financial Festival (JFF) 2026, held at Jogja Expo Center (JEC) in Bantul, on the festival’s second day with his welcoming remarks. Wawan stood in for Jogja Mayor Hasto Wardoyo to greet JFF 2026 attendees.
In a relatively brief address, Wawan commented on the link between the event’s title and the city’s government role in welcoming guests and participants of JFF 2026.
‘I am here because the festival is Jogja Financial Festival. If the venue is here in Bantul, ladies and gentlemen, I am effectively offset,’ Wawan said in his opening remarks for Day Two at JEC, Saturday (23 May 2026).
‘But because it is called Jogja Financial Festival, I am delivering this address here. Welcome,’ he added.
Wawan also conveyed the highest appreciation for the collaboration between the Deposit Insurance Agency (LPS) and Transmedia in organising this event. Besides providing financial education, he believed JFF also contributed to local economic growth.
‘We are very pleased, and events like this greatly aid Jogja’s economy. Jogja grows through a harmonious economy, so we hope such events can be held every week,’ he explained.
‘Applause, ladies and gentlemen, for the students and the women present — many are gathered behind, eager to learn more about financial literacy,’ he concluded.
Day Two at JFF still features a range of activities such as talk shows, business talks from The Bankers, and educational classes from various mentors in their respective fields.
There are also various entertainments such as Arisan Financial hosted by Surya Insomnia, a stand-up comedy segment by Kiky Saputri, and a concert closing with guests Silet Open Up and Juicy Lucy.
