Deputy Manpower Minister Urges Workers to Report Unpaid Holiday Bonuses and Overtime via Official Portal

Deputy Manpower Minister (Wamenaker) Afriansyah Noor has urged workers not to hesitate in reporting companies that fail to meet their obligations to pay employee entitlements, such as the holiday bonus (THR) or overtime wages. The government, he said, has provided the Lapor Menaker portal as a complaint channel for workers.

The statement was made by Afriansyah after assisting in the resolution of an industrial relations dispute between PT Amos Indah Indonesia and hundreds of its workers who were facing termination of employment (PHK). The settlement process was carried out together with the Police Labour Desk at the Criminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim) on Thursday, 23 July 2026.

According to Afriansyah, the Lapor Menaker portal can be utilised by workers who feel their normative rights have not been fulfilled by the company. “For the future, for other companies and other trade unions, we will certainly pay attention to this. So, for example, if their THR is not paid, we at the Ministry of Manpower are ready with the Lapor Menaker portal. Then also, for example, if overtime pay is not paid, we will be ready. This is the cooperation,” said Afriansyah.

Afriansyah stressed that the government is committed to providing protection to workers who experience rights violations by companies. Through the Lapor Menaker portal, every complaint will receive the attention of the Ministry of Manpower to be followed up in accordance with applicable regulations. According to him, supervision of the implementation of workers’ rights is also strengthened through collaboration with the police so that the resolution of labour issues can run more effectively.

In an effort to improve supervision, the Ministry of Manpower is partnering with the Police Labour Desk. This step was taken because the government acknowledges that labour supervision carried out so far has not been optimal. Afriansyah said this cooperation is expected to provide better protection for workers experiencing problems with companies. “We do admit that our ministry’s supervision has not been maximised. So we are partnering with the Labour Desk, the Head of the Labour Desk, Brigadier General Pol Irham, to jointly help so that we can assist our friends who have been wronged,” he said. This collaboration is also expected to accelerate the resolution of various industrial relations issues occurring in various regions.
