Deputy Manpower Minister Says Collective Labour Agreement a Solution to Accommodate All Parties
Deputy Manpower Minister Afriansyah Noor has stated that the Collective Labour Agreement (PKB) is a reflection of healthy industrial relations, capable of accommodating all parties. He noted that the agreement is built through dialogue, deliberation, and understanding between management and workers.
“The success of this PKB shows that differences in interests need not lead to prolonged conflict, but can instead be channelled through solutions that accommodate all parties,” Afriansyah said on Tuesday (30/6/2026).
According to Afriansyah, the PKB holds significance beyond its administrative and legal formalities. The document reflects a joint commitment to building a healthy, adaptive, and fair working relationship. He noted that open communication channels are a crucial element in maintaining a balance between company productivity and worker welfare, making the negotiation process a vital part of strengthening industrial relations.
Afriansyah also stressed that the PKB should serve as a shared reference to strengthen mutual trust and collaboration after it is signed. “Hopefully, this agreement can encourage a more productive work culture while simultaneously strengthening company performance,” he said.
Meanwhile, PT KAI President Director Bobby Rasyidin said the PKB is a strategic instrument that reflects a common vision between management and workers in shaping the company’s future direction. He added that strong industrial relations must be built through open communication, maintained trust, and a shared commitment to grow and develop together.
