Deputy Manpower Minister opens Job Fair in Jambi offering 1,000 vacancies
Deputy Manpower Minister Afriansyah Noor officially opened a job fair initiated by the Jambi Regional Police to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Bhayangkara, offering 1,000 job vacancies. “This is tangible proof that Bhayangkara cares about the community and human resource development in Jambi,” Afriansyah said during the opening at Lippo Mall in Jambi City on Monday. He commended the collaborative effort between the police, local government, and businesses in creating new employment opportunities in Jambi Province, noting that the labour force grows annually and must be matched by job availability. He expressed hope that the 80th Bhayangkara Job Fair would be successful and serve as a catalyst for economic growth and the provision of decent work for the people of Jambi. “Those who need jobs can realise their aspirations to meet company needs; please come and compete here,” he urged. Jambi Police Chief Inspector General Krisno H Siregar said the job fair acts as a bridge connecting business needs with job seekers. This year, the police and local government partnered with 100 companies from various sectors to provide 1,000 vacancies. The fair runs for three days, from Monday (22/6) to Wednesday (24/6). It also features 36 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) showcasing regional products, with their presence expected to directly boost local economic circulation. The high level of participation, according to the police chief, demonstrates a commitment to creating job opportunities while encouraging business growth, ultimately leading to the welfare of Jambi’s community. “Show your competence. I thank the companies for their contribution in providing jobs at this year’s Job Fair,” Krisno said.
