Deputy Jakarta Metro Police Chief Inspects Soekarno-Hatta Airport to Ensure Optimal Service
Jakarta — The Deputy Head of Jakarta Metropolitan Police Brigjen Pol Dekananto Eko Purwono inspected Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Tangerang, Banten, to ensure that public services during the Lebaran exodus period run optimally.
“This inspection is conducted to ensure public services run optimally, particularly for exodus travellers who require assistance in the airport area,” he stated in his remarks in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Dekananto directly inspected the readiness of personnel, service facilities, and assistance systems prepared for passengers.
One service receiving particular attention is the free inter-terminal transfer service provided to assist users at Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta) during the Lebaran exodus period.
He stated that the presence of service posts at Soetta Airport must genuinely benefit the public, particularly exodus travellers. “We want the presence of these service posts to be about more than just security; it is about service,” he said.
Dekananto explained that the free inter-terminal transfer service is prioritised for persons with disabilities, mothers and children, elderly persons, and airport users facing circumstances of pressing need.
“Through this service, members of the public experiencing mobility difficulties can be immediately assisted by officers so that their journey remains smooth and comfortable,” he said.
According to him, a humanistic service approach is one of the focal points of Jakarta Metro Police in Operation Ketupat Jaya 2026.
Meanwhile, the Head of Jakarta Metro Police’s Public Relations Division Kombes Polisi Budi Hermanto urged the public not to hesitate in utilising the services prepared at Soetta Airport service posts.
“Members of the public requiring assistance should immediately contact officers nearby or the nearest service post,” he said.
If the public requires rapid police assistance, they can also contact the emergency line 110. “We want to ensure that the exodus is not only safe, but also comfortable, easy, and pleasant for all airport users,” he stated.
