Deputy Investment Minister Arrives in Palu to Review Special Economic Zone Progress
The Mayor of Palu, represented by Acting Assistant for Administration and Economic Affairs of the Palu City Regional Secretariat, Rahmat Mustafa, welcomed the arrival of Deputy Minister of Investment and Downstream Industries/Deputy Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), Todotua Pasaribu, in Palu on Thursday morning (17/04/2025).
The welcome took place at Mutiara SIS Aljufri Airport in Palu. The Deputy Minister arrived by Garuda Indonesia and was received by regional officials including Central Sulawesi Deputy Governor Reny A Lamadjido, members of the Provincial Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), and other regional heads of agencies.
The welcome was marked by a symbolic moment when the Central Sulawesi Deputy Governor placed a siga, a traditional Central Sulawesi male headpiece, on the Deputy Minister as a gesture of honour and appreciation for his visit to the Land of Tadulako.
The Deputy Minister is scheduled to carry out a number of strategic engagements during his visit to Central Sulawesi, including a direct inspection of the development progress at the Palu Special Economic Zone (KEK).
The visit forms part of the central government's efforts to ensure the implementation of the industrial downstream programme is proceeding concretely in regions with natural resource and industrial potential, including Palu.
