Deputy Interior Minister Surprises WFH Checks in Bekasi, Inspects City Hall Offices to Video Calls with Civil Servants

On Friday (10/4/2026), Deputy Interior Minister Bima Arya began his inspection in several rooms at the Bekasi Mayor’s Office, starting from the Secretary’s room and other areas. He was accompanied by Bekasi Mayor Tri Adhiyanto and Deputy Mayor Harris Bobihoe. Several rooms appeared dark due to the implementation of energy efficiency measures during the WFH policy. Bima Arya also made a sudden video call to one of the staff members in the Bekasi City Secretary’s office to ensure that the WFH policy was not being misused by civil servants (ASN). “Where are you, Bu Imas?” asked Bima Arya. “At home, sir, working on tasks,” replied Imas, a civil servant from the Bekasi City Government. After inspecting several rooms in the Mayor’s Office, Bima Arya continued his checks at the Social Services Office, the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency Office, and the Population and Civil Registration Office of Bekasi City. Bima Arya directly observed that services were still running smoothly despite the WFH implementation. The next inspection was carried out by Bima Arya at the homes of several civil servants from the Bekasi City Government. Bima Arya ensured that the civil servants were at home and completing all their tasks. “Where is Mas Renza’s assignment?” asked Bima Arya. “In the DPM PTSP, sir,” replied Renza. “What are the challenges with WFH?” asked Bima Arya. “Just the network, sir. It’s more stable at the office,” replied Renza. “Nothing else?” asked Bima Arya. “No, sir, everything is smooth, no issues,” replied Renza.
