Deputy Interior Minister Ribka Urges Papua Provincial Government to Support President's Asta Cita
Deputy Interior Minister Ribka made the remarks while attending the virtual Musyawarah Perencanaan Pembangunan (Musrenbang) for the Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD) and Special Autonomy (Otsus) of Papua Province for 2027, held from Jakarta today.
“All the visions conveyed by the President and Vice President are to become an integrated programme reaching the remotest parts of Indonesia,” said Ribka in a written statement on Thursday (30/4/2026).
Ribka explained that various programmes under Asta Cita are designed to support the achievement of Indonesia Emas 2045. Citing expert predictions, she noted that in the future, Indonesia’s economic growth will experience a significant leap and has the potential to position Indonesia as one of the world’s largest economic powers.
She added that the current government continues to maintain economic growth through inflation control and staple commodity prices. These efforts are carried out routinely through cross-ministerial/institutional coordination.
“The Interior Minister is implementing several programmes to measure inflation levels, then poverty, Human Development Index, and so on. This is how the government maintains it to lead us to achieve our targets,” she stated.
On the other hand, enhancing human resource capacity is also being optimised through various priority programmes, such as Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG), Sekolah Rakyat, and Sekolah Unggul Garuda. These programmes are expected to produce superior generations ready to compete at the global level.
“I also see that the President has launched Sekolah Garuda to prepare our best human resources; the quality of the nation’s children will also be sent to universities abroad,” Ribka remarked.
Ribka hopes that the Papua Provincial Government can optimise the implementation of these various national priority programmes to provide tangible impacts on improving community welfare.
“We hope that our friends in Papua, especially the Papua Provincial Government, can maximise all human resource potentials and other potentials to improve all welfare, to realise a brighter Papua,” she concluded.
