Deputy Interior Minister Emphasises Alignment of Regional Budgets with RKPD
Deputy Interior Minister (Wamendagri) Akhmad Wiyagus attended the Deliberation on Development Planning (Musrenbang) for the Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD) for 2027 at Bale Gede, Negara Pakuan Building, Bandung, West Java, on Wednesday (15/4).
In the forum, Wiyagus emphasised the importance of consistency and synchronisation in preparing regional budgets. He urged all levels of the regional government (Pemda) in West Java to ensure that every programme designed is truly aligned with planning documents.
According to him, the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) must be prepared based on thorough planning and refer to the RKPD. In this way, there will be no more programmes that emerge without a clear planning basis.
“There should be no more programmes in the APBD that suddenly appear without a planning basis in the RKPD document, and vice versa,” said Wiyagus.
He affirmed that such alignment is crucial so that the development planning system, from the central to the regional level, runs continuously and in line with national policies.
Therefore, planning documents such as the Regional Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPD) to the RKPD, both at the provincial and regency/city levels, must refer to the direction of national development.
On the other hand, Wiyagus also expressed appreciation for West Java’s economic achievements throughout 2025, which grew by 5.32 per cent, surpassing the national average of 5.11 per cent. In fact, in the fourth quarter, the regional economic growth reached 5.85 per cent.
Nevertheless, he reminded Pemda not to become complacent, given that the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) is still relatively high at 6.77 per cent. This becomes an important note so that future economic growth is more inclusive and able to optimally absorb the workforce.
“This is an important note so that our economic pace ahead is more inclusive and optimal in absorbing local labour,” he said.
In supporting the national priority programmes of Asta Cita, Wiyagus also appreciated the establishment of Red and White Village/Urban Ward Cooperatives as well as the operation of the Food Nutrition Fulfilment Service Unit (SPPG) in the region.
However, he emphasised the importance of accelerating the issuance of Hygiene and Sanitation Certificates (SLHS) as a guarantee of food security for beneficiaries.
“This certification is an absolute requirement. Not just administration, but a guarantee of food security for our children,” he added.
Wiyagus invited all levels of Pemda to continue working together in providing the best services for the community.
“Let us work with full integrity and responsibility to ensure that every rupiah of this budget is truly felt by the people towards a more advanced and prosperous West Java Province,” he concluded.
