Deputy Interior Minister Delivers Prabowo's Message to Regional Heads on Efficient Governance

Jakarta - Deputy Interior Minister Bima Arya Sugiarto delivered a message from the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, during the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of Regional Autonomy Day in 2026. According to Bima, President Prabowo frequently reminds his cabinet ministers of the meaning of statecraft, or the method of managing government in a more effective and concrete manner. “The President often reminds his cabinet ministers of the meaning of statecraft. The way to manage government that is more effective, more concrete with actions felt by the citizens,” said Bima while leading the ceremony for the 30th Regional Autonomy Day at the Interior Ministry Plaza, Jakarta, on Monday (27/4/2026). He wants the ranks of regional heads to continue delivering governance that is not only effective but also efficient. “Efficiency is not just savings. Efficiency is not just numbers reported to superiors. Efficiency is a new way to manage government, a transformation of work culture from all of us,” he stated. On the other hand, he invited the Interior Ministry ranks to continue being guardians, regulators, facilitators, accelerators, and motivators for all regional heads throughout Indonesia. “We ensure that our Asta Cita is escorted to the maximum, but the dreams of regional heads, the visions and missions of regional heads, still have space that we can align together with Asta Cita,” he said. The ceremony was also attended by regional heads including East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa and Jakarta Deputy Governor Rano Karno. “May Allah ease all our efforts to prosper the people, to bring effective government that benefits its citizens,” he said.
