Deputy Interior Minister Bima Arya: IPDN Cadets Forged to Face Bureaucratic Dynamics
Deputy Interior Minister (Wamendagri) Bima Arya officially closed the third wave of field practice for Institute of Domestic Governance (IPDN) cadets in Aceh Tamiang on Wednesday (29/4). The closure was held through a roll call at the Basketball Court in Kuala Simpang town.
In his address, Bima appreciated the contributions of the cadets involved in the recovery efforts for the region. He explained that in the first wave, the cadets were focused on restoring government offices, while the second and third waves were directed towards repairing settlements and public facilities.
According to Bima, in addition to carrying out these noble tasks, the IPDN cadets are indirectly training to become reliable leaders in the future.
“The land of Aceh Tamiang has become the crucible for future Indonesian bureaucratic leaders, namely all of you,” said Bima in front of the cadets.
During their assignment in Aceh Tamiang, the IPDN cadets were tested not only physically but also mentally. This is the same challenge they will face when carrying out their duties as bureaucrats in government.
Various issues like these, he said, will often be encountered in the realities of life. Therefore, he advised the cadets to be able to overcome various problems in society.
“This one month is a simulation. This one month is a trial that is not even a fraction of what you will face in the future,” said Bima.
Furthermore, he emphasised that during their duties in Aceh Tamiang, the IPDN cadets have also become more trained in strengthening cooperation. This capital is believed to be very useful in the world of government.
On the other hand, there is another major challenge, namely uniting the visions from the diverse backgrounds of the cadets. As a leader, he said, the cadets must get used to differences, both in terms of culture, ethnicity, religion, and beliefs.
For those who can adapt to differences, Bima believes such individuals will become outstanding leaders in the future.
“I am proud, I stand here with the Regent, with the Vice Rector, releasing you with full pride and looking at the results of your sweat and hard work which are very real and very beneficial to the people of Aceh Tamiang,” said Bima.
On that occasion, Bima also expressed thanks to the Aceh Tamiang Regency Government apparatus who have supported the performance of the IPDN cadets. He also conveyed an apology if during the implementation of duties there were any unpleasant matters.
“We pray that all the people of Aceh Tamiang can live normally and, God willing, even much better,” he concluded.
Also present at the event were Regent of Aceh Tamiang Armia Pahmi, high-ranking officials in the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) and IPDN, as well as other related parties.
